Basic Life Support

Simplex United offers Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) classes.

This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course is the required CPR AED training for ANYONE in the healthcare field. (Ex. EMTs, nurses, dental assistants, doctors and more all need this course).

Our Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) classroom program teaches students how to properly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This class is a one-time instructor-led training that will add an essential piece of certification to your résumé. CPR is the foundation of many medical careers and is required for most jobs in healthcare as well as in positions in the educational and public service fields.

After a short 3.5 hrs. course, and passing an exam, you will be formally trained with invaluable skills and you’ll instantly receive your BLS card!

In completing this course, you’ll be formally trained in:

• Describing how high-quality CPR improves survival Explaining the concepts of the Chain of Survival
• Recognizing when someone needs CPR
• Performing high-quality CPR for an adult
• Describing how to perform CPR with help from others
• Giving effective breaths by using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
• Demonstrating how to use an AED on an adult
• Performing high-quality CPR for a child
• Demonstrating how to use an AED on a child
• Performing high-quality CPR for an infant
• Describing when and how to help a choking adult or child
• Demonstrating how to help a choking infant

NOTE: You are required to have the current BLS provider manual with you in class. You may either obtain it on your own or purchase it through Simplex United.
